On Saturday 12th November we held the Duchy Show at Luxulyan Village Hall, with an entry of 530 birds. Many thanks to the small team that turned up on the Friday to put up all the pens, ready for Saturday. It was an early start on Saturday to be there before the majority turned up. I would like to thank Ron Williams who picked me up at 7 o’clock and brought his trailer to take away the rubbish after the show. When we arrived there were three cars that had beaten us, I think Paul Cammock left Wales at 4am (there was me thinking I was early!) I turned on the boiler, heaters and pasty warmer while they were bringing in their birds, then it was down to business handing out the pen numbers so that they could pen the birds. It all seemed to go smoothly, not too many birds in the wrong pens......
